  • 3D Video and Audio Return Channel via HDMI

Four HDMI inputs on the HT-R2295 allow you to easily integrate high-definition devices such as Blu-ray players, cable/satellite tuners, and gaming consoles. HDMI implementation on this receiver also supports an Audio Return Channel, allowing audio received directly by your TV’s tuner to be sent “upstream” to the A/V receiver. That means you can enjoy television programs in magnificent Onkyo sound. HDMI also supports 3D video and numerous other high-resolution formats, and has the added advantage of reducing cable clutter for a cleaner and simpler set-up.

  • Enjoy High-Definition Movie Soundtracks

The HT-R2295 can decode Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio—two “lossless” Blu-ray formats that deliver a soundtrack identical to the studio master, so you’re hearing it exactly as it’s meant to be heard. The HT-R2295 also handles Dolby® Digital Plus and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio. Dolby Digital Plus is designed to accompany HD video delivered via disc media, television broadcasts, and online content. DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, meanwhile, offers a higher bit and sampling rate than the core DTS technology.
  • Made for iPod/iPhone: Direct Digital Connection for Cleaner Sound

The receiver’s front-panel USB port lets you play MP3 and AAC stored in an iPod/iPhone, and MP3, WMA, AAC, and FLAC audio files stored on a flash-memory device, using the system’s own remote for track selection and playback. Your music will also sound much cleaner and clearer, as the audio signal is transported in digital rather than analog form through the direct digital connection.
  • Onkyo's Proprietary WRAT Technology

WRAT is a suite of innovative technologies Onkyo developed to improve and enhance amplified audio. The technologies guarantee a well-balanced performance: the lows are deep and powerful without being muddy, and the mids and highs are clear and crisp without being too sharp. It achieves this by making sure any noise made by the actual circuitry does not interfere with the audio signal it is transmitting, and by ensuring that even the vibration from the speakers does not interfere with the audio. The WRAT design has become a favorite among discerning audio enthusiasts, and is incorporated for the first time on the entry-level HT-R2295.

Individual, Powerful Circuitry Boosts Audio Performance

A receiver’s ability to deliver consistent power through the amplification circuit makes sure the audio quality is stable. Onkyo receivers feature separate components at the signal output stage, which means that each channel is a stable output of pure sound. Discrete transistors help guarantee a consistent, stable supply of current to the speaker system for an open and assured performance, with less chance of distortion and cooler running temperatures.  This all adds up to powerful and dynamic sound.
  • Stream Your Music: Bluetooth-Ready

Plug in the optional UBT-1 Bluetooth USB Adapter and stream your music through the HT-R2295, whether you use an iPhone or iPad,® an Android device, or any other compatible device with Bluetooth capability. Just pair the devices, select your music, and press "play."  Bluetooth Version 3.0 and an aptX® codec preserve your music's natural dynamic range for remarkably clear sound reproduction.
  • Powered Zone 2: Take Your Music to a Second Room

This receiver features Powered Zone 2 speaker terminals and Zone 2 line-outs. This means you can drive audio in another room equipped with stereo speakers—for example, in an adjoining room, or on the deck, or in the kitchen.
  • Audyssey Room Correction: You'll Hear The Difference

    (1) Audyssey 2EQ tailors multi-channel audio for your home theater speaker set-up by measuring three room positions and applying a resolution filter to the satellite speakers to correct for room acoustics. You will be amazed at the difference this makes in how your speakers sound.

    (2) Audyssey Dynamic EQ® maintains a consistent bass response, tonal balance, and surround-sound effect at different volume levels, so you can enjoy the natural dynamics of your content regardless of the volume.

    (3) Audyssey Dynamic Volume® automatically compensates for volume fluctuations in different audio content—for example, during commercial breaks—while optimizing the dynamic range. This means that when a commercial break interrupts your TV show, it won't surprise you with volume that is so much louder than your show. No more throwing things at your TV because you got startled (we know it happens, and we won't tell).

  • Easy Access For Settings Changes

The HT-R2295’s overlaid On-Screen Display (OSD) feature makes changing the settings on your A/V receiver quick and easy. On-screen set-up menus appear overlaid on the video image you’re watching. This means you can adjust the settings immediately, without having to stop the program and switch to a different screen to access menus.
