Brewer Needle Maintenance Guide

1. Brewer Maintenance Accessory

If you're having trouble brewing, there may be coffee grounds stuck in the brewer's entrance needle. Simply use the Keurig Brewer Maintenance Accessory and get back to brewing. Follow these few quick steps.

    2. Fill the Silicone Bulb

    To begin make sure your brewer is powered off. With the printed side the brewer mainentance accessory facing up, fill the silicone bulb to the top with water. Lift the handle and place the maintenance accessory in the pod holder.

      3. Place Accessory into Pod Holder

      Lift the handle and place the maintenance accessory in the pod holder. Be sure the arrows are pointing down. Push firmly to ensure the accessory is fully inserted before lowering the handle.

        4. Flush Water Through Needle

        Raise and lower the handle a total of five times. This process flushes water through the brewer's entrance needle to draw out coffee grounds.

          5. Collect Coffee Grounds

          Now remove the accessory from the pod holder. You will be able to see any coffee grounds collected.

            6. Begin Cleansing Brew

            Next perform a cleansing brew. Power the brewer on and place a mug on the drip tray. Lift the handle to be sure the pod holder is empty.

              7. Cleanse Needle with Hot Water

              Lower the handle and follow the instructions on the touch screen to brew 6 oz of hot water.

                8. Empty Mug in Sink

                Once the brew is complete, pour the contents of the mug into the sink.

                  9. Clean and Store Brewer Maintenance Accessory

                  To clean your brewer maintenance accessory simply rinse with warm water and allow to air dry completely. Be sure to store it in a safe place until the next use.


                  Note: Not dishwasher safe and do not store in pod holder.
